Dr Bogen maintains a private endodontic practice in Los Angeles, California. Dr Bogen received his dental degree in 1978 and his certificate in endodontics in 1995, both from University of Southern California (USC). He lectures for the postgraduate departments at the University of California at Los Angeles ( UCLA), Loma Linda and the VA in Long Beach and is a former Clinical Assistant Professor of Endodontics at USC. He is the past President of the Southern California Academy of Endodontists, past secretary and trustee of American Association of Endodontists (AAE) Foundation, currently a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal Of Endodontics (JOE), the AAE Corporate Relations Committee and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has published numerousresearch articles, textbook . Dr. Bogen is well known for his love to the ocean’s unique creatures and for that he is really one of the best in fishing…. in addition to that he and his wife Dr. Laureen (Endodontist) are wonderful couple, great educators and close friends…we wish them all the best.
Dr. Bogen is well recognized speaker of vital pulp therapy for young patients. He is a reference in that field for the American Association of Endodontists. He has written and documented his work and reported cases in well known dental Journals such as JADA and Others. Here is his opinion about Vital pulp Therapy “Vital pulp therapy has emerged as a predictable treatment option for teeth in younger patients that exhibit normal responses to cold testing and a diagnosis of reversible pulpitis. Although many endodontic specialists base diagnostic considerations solely on radiographic interpretation when teeth exhibit deep caries, subjective symptomology and vitality testing must be completed in order to arrive at the correct differential diagnosis”.
